Egyptian Ghorayebah Cookies

0.5 cups butter
9 tbsp. sugar
1 cup flour
Handful of sliced or whole almonds or pistachios

Makes one large tray       Total Time: 30 minutes

Preheat oven to 330 degrees Fahrenheit. Beat the butter in a mixing bowl until it turns white. Add the sugar and continue to beat for another 5 minutes. Slowly add in the flour with a spoon until dough becomes smooth and soft. Roll dough into small balls (a little smaller than ping pong ball), make a dent in the top of each one with your thumb and add one almond or pistachio. Place balls on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. The cookies should stay white and not turn brown.
